About Us

Ricardo is the Founder of Teclaz, responsible for the growth and expansion of the company. Ricardo brings a rare blend of deep technical expertise in AI/ML, vector search, cloud-native architectures (GCP, AWS, Azure), and cybersecurity frameworks, paired with global leadership experience in enterprise sales, alliances, and strategic growth initiatives. He held leadership roles across Google Cloud and top-tier consultancies, scaling technical programs, GTM strategies, and partner ecosystems. Ricardo​ ​received his MBA from Duke University, Fuqua School of Business, a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Stanford University, and he is completing a Masters in Data Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Ricardo is a self-professed tech geek and an avid outdoorsman who loves hiking.

Janel is a Co-Founder of Teclaz and leads the company’s marketing efforts, spanning product marketing, demand generation, branding and creative, field marketing, and community evangelism. She previously served as Vice President of Field Marketing for Leapwork, helping fuel global growth in AI-powered test automation. Janel brings a wealth of hands-on technology startup experience building field, channel, and growth marketing functions at Redis, Elastic, Zscaler, Riverbed, SafeNet (acquired by Thales), CipherTrust (acquired by Secure Computing), and BroadVision. She holds a JD from the University of California Los Angeles School of Law, and a BA in Anthropology from Stanford University. Janel’s passions outside of work include college football, hiking, bodyboarding, and watching YouTube how-to videos.

RJ is a Co-Founder of Teclaz and leads the company’s pulse on technology trends, adoption, and how to eliminate friction points. He is double majoring in Computer Science and Statistics at Duke University, where he is a head undergraduate teaching assistant and involved in undergraduate research. He is currently helping develop a LLM model for the early detection of Alzheimer’s Disease and investigating how student self-reported learning beliefs impact their academic help-seeking. In his spare time, you can find RJ playing the sousaphone at football and basketball games, running, or finding new dessert spots.

Erica is an advisor to Teclaz, focused on community relationships, outreach, and human centered design elements. She brings a multidisciplinary background in social science, including a nuanced understanding of organizational ethnography and anthropology of organizations, sociocultural dynamics, semiotics and branding to the team. In her decade as a professor, she taught ethnographic and qualitative research methodologies across multiple fields, including for UX design, marketing, and service design. She holds a PhD in Anthropology from University College London (UCL), an MA in Anthropology from George Washington University, a JD from Stanford Law School, and an AB in Romance Languages and Literatures from Harvard University. Erica loves anything to do with arts and culture and is an avid foodie and cocktail buff, as well as a very geeky martial artist.

Jazmine is a Forward Deployed Engineer Intern at Teclaz. She is a student at Duke University pursuing a double major in Computer Science and Political Science, with a concentration in Machine Learning and Decision Making. Her academic and technical work focuses on how data-driven systems inform complex decisions, with experience in machine learning and a background in robotics that includes automated systems, vision technologies, and manufacturing processes. She is particularly interested in applying these skills to better understand user behavior and translate data into clear, actionable insights that support effective decision-making. This summer, she will join Teclaz as a Forward Deployed Engineer Intern, contributing to the development of intuitive, user-centered tools for website analytics. Outside of her academic and professional pursuits, Jazmine enjoys playing the clarinet, painting, reading history books, and caring for her many cats!

Ari Chitulescu is a High School Intern at Teclaz. He is a rising senior at Prospect High School with a strong interest in mathematics, finance, and computer science. His experience includes working as an Administrative Assistant at Accent Construction, where he managed customer communications, invoicing, job scheduling, and built the company's website from the ground up using Hostinger. Ari has also competed in DECA, developing client-facing problem-solving and strategic decision-making skills, and in his school's Finance Competition, where his team placed 3rd overall and 1st in portfolio defense for their investment strategy. This summer, he is excited to gain hands-on experience in the startup and technology ecosystem at Teclaz. Outside of school, Ari enjoys Latin dancing, skiing, long-distance running, and exploring investing and entrepreneurship.

Matthew Peng is a High School Intern at Teclaz. He is currently a rising senior at Delbarton School, where he balances a rigorous academic schedule with leadership and varsity athletics. Matthew's technical and data background includes coursework in Data Science from Johns Hopkins University and Human Factors in AI from Duke University, along with practical experience in HTML, Wix, and data analytics. He is also the Co-founder and Data Lead of FairwayAccess, a nonprofit dedicated to removing financial barriers in golf, where he built the organization's digital presence and manages inventory logistics for hundreds of donated items. This summer, he is excited to apply his experience in data analytics and digital tools while learning more about AI, startups, and data-driven problem solving at Teclaz. Outside of work and school, Matthew is a Varsity Ice Hockey student-athlete who has helped lead his team to back-to-back State Championships.

Peyton Triplett is a Product and Growth Intern at Teclaz. She is a recent graduate of the University of Georgia's Terry College of Business, where she earned her BBA in Management Information Systems. She brings experience in SQL, Python, data analysis, and business process management, along with a genuine enthusiasm for helping businesses become more efficient and scalable. Before Teclaz, Peyton worked with small businesses and nonprofits across strategy, marketing, and operations, giving her a hands-on understanding of what it takes to grow a successful organization. She's especially interested in data analytics, sustainable business, and how emerging AI technology can empower small businesses. This summer, she is focusing on marketing initiatives to help drive user growth at Teclaz. Outside of work, Peyton paints and runs her own exotic plant nursery specializing in rare, high-end Anthuriums.
